11th Annual PIP
~ Party in the Pasture ~

Friday, Aug 29th - Sunday, Aug 31

Grab your instruments, friends, camping gear, and
party attitude. IT'S PARTY TIME!!!!

What’s a PARTY IN THE PASTURE you might ask?

Well, just imagine two solid days and nights of Texas Music and fun in Smokey Wilson’s
pasture on the bank of the Sandies Creek under the giant shady pecan trees.
There will be no moonlight so get ready to see how big the stars can be
under a big Texas sky.

Smokey's annual Pasture Party features all kinds of music -from
Kerrville to country to blues but mostly is pure Texas.

Campfire music goes on day and night.

There will be designated tent and RV areas (no hookups),
food and merchandise vendors, a bike rally, a chile and BBQ cookoff,
… and more good times than any one person should be expected to
handle alone (so bring your friends).

Camping Friday and Saturday nights.
Come early for the  best camping spots.
All are good, some are  just  a bit better.

Bring your own beer n'stuff - no alcohol will be sold.

Who the hell is Smokey Wilson?

Smokey Wilson is a singer-songwriter cowboy who lives alone on his 4th generation family ranch outside of Cuero, Texas, one of the starting points of the Chisholm Trail. He spent many years as the animal health inspector for the Texas Animal Health Commission (essentially he was the lone ranger for TAHC) . He has been writing and performing music, including a lot of his original songs, for many years.

Smokey blends upbeat Texas music with a bluesy sound. The result is fun music for listening or dancing. He can fill a room singlehanded with his voice, guitar, and harmonica. He can also bring his Karioke equipment thatcan supply
enough additional music to fill a dance hall with great sound.

You can request playing some of his music on Radio Free Texas
